The contact details for your fund are shown on the page you are on.
Jargon is part of superannuation – sad but true. Here is a guide to help you through this page.
ABN is short for Australian Business Number
Most Australian businesses and organisations have an ABN to identify the business to government and the wider community. Most super funds have just one ABN but some have several so be sure to get onto the page for the right product before you note the ABN.
USI is short for Unique Superannuation Identifier
The USI identifies the specific super fund product, not just the overall super fund. The USI is used to direct payments through a system called SuperStream so it is important.
SPIN means Superannuation Product Identification Number
SPIN codes were used before USIs came in, to identify specific superannuation products. SPIN codes are still used to some extent.
SFN means Superannuation Fund Number
The SFN identifies each super fund. Most super funds have just one SFN but some have several so be sure to get onto the page for the right product before you note the SFN.
